South Africa’s Blitzboks asserted their dominance with a commanding performance, securing their second win against Tunisia in a resounding 43-0 victory to reach the Africa Men’s 7s/Olympics qualifiers quarters
In the early stages of the game, Tunisia displayed resilient defense, holding off the Blitzboks for the first two minutes.
However, it was Ronald Brown who eventually made the breakthrough, executing a crucial line break for the Blitzboks and confidently scored a try. He expertly converted his own try, giving South Africa an early lead.
Van Vyk then showcased his scoring prowess by notching successive tries, securing a double for the Blitzboks. One of these tries was successfully converted by Ronald Brown.
The first half concluded with a score of 24-0 in favor of the Blitzboks following a try by Don Donovan.
The second half saw Tunisia struggling to contain the might of the South African team.
The Blitzboks continued to dominate, making another line break and increasing their lead to 31-0.
At the ninth-minute mark, Selyvn Davids added to South Africa’s tally with a try, contributing five more points. Unfortunately, the conversion attempt was unsuccessful, but the score now stood at 36-0 in favor of the Blitzboks.
The game reached its conclusion with a final try at the thirteenth minute, sealing the victory for South Africa with a final score of 43-0.
