Menengai Oilers have bolstered their squad with several key additions as they gear up for the resumption of the Kenya Cup.
The Gibson Weru-coached side has brought in exciting talents, including Kenya U20 centre Daniel Kipchirchir, whose transfer from Western Bulls is awaiting ratification. Kipchirchir had an impressive 2024 season, capped off with a Barthes Cup triumph.
Menengai Oilers raid Kakamega
The Oilers have also recruited heavily from Kakamega County-based clubs. Notable signings include hooker Fortune Arturo from Kabras RFC, who has already featured for the team and won the Impala Floodlit Trophy. He is joined by prop Byron Cornel, who moved from MMUST and also played a pivotal role in the Floodies.
In addition, the club has secured Paywick Munoko, an exciting back-rower from MMUST who recently completed his university education, and Bruce Endovo from Sigalagala National Polytechnic.

Peter Muniu Karanja is also set to join from Homeboyz RFC, pending transfer ratification. Menengai Oilers are looking to maintain their momentum and make a strong push for the Kenya Cup title with their new acquisitions.
Meanwhile, Nakuru RFC has made moves of their own, signing Godwill Wamukhota and Richard Asembo from Kitale RFC.
