Driftwood 7s defending champions Kabras RFC have made five changes ahead of this weekend’s tournament at Mombasa Sports Club.
Kenya 7s star Kevin Wekesa is set to make his first appearance of the season, returning to the squad after representing Kenya in the Paris Olympics and later featuring for Monaco 7s in the Supersevens circuit, playing in the Mont-de-Marsan 7s on August 17, La Rochelle 7s on August 24, and Pau 7s on August 31.

Joining Wekesa in the squad are Clinton Litali, Patrick Kluivert, Collins Osore, and speedster Griffin Chao, all of whom return after missing the Kabeberi 7s.

William Mwanji (hamstring injury), Humprey Asiligwa (knock), Jackton Osoo, James Olela, and Hillary Salano, who were part of the Kabeberi 7s squad, will miss out on the Driftwood 7s.

Brian Mutua, Patrick Lumumba, Eric Cantona, and Biden Hayo are set for their fifth appearance of the season, while Jackson Sketta, Warren Kamadi, Derrick Ashihundu, and Alfred Orege retain their spots in the team.
Kabras RFC are in Pool C alongside Kenya Harlequin, Nakuru RFC, and Mwamba RFC.

After securing the 2023 title with a 10-7 win over Menengai Oilers, Kabras RFC will be aiming to defend their championship at the Driftwood 7s.
