Kabras RFC and Menengai Oilers have secured their spots in the Dala 7s final at Mamboleo Grounds after impressive semifinal performances.

This will be the first time these Rai Group-sponsored teams meet in the Dala 7s final. The two teams previously faced off in the 2023 Driftwood 7s final, where Kabras RFC emerged victorious. They also met last season in the Kabeberi 7s quarterfinals, with the Menengai Oilers securing a win.

Derrick Ashihundu added a third try, though his second attempt was ruled out due to an infringement. Kabras RFC held on to win, advancing to their second final of the season.

Menengai Oilers reached their first final of the season with a dominant 29-10 victory over MMUST. Dennis Abukuse opened the scoring for the Oilers, with Eric Ogutu adding the conversion for a 7-0 lead. MMUST responded with a try from Josephat Omulefu, but the Oilers quickly regained control.

Samuel Mwaura extended the Oilers’ lead to 14-7, and Abukuse’s second try made it 19-7 at halftime after MMUST had a player sent off. Beldad Ogeta increased the lead before Abukuse completed his hat trick, pushing the score to 29-7. MMUST managed a late try, but overcoming the Oilers’ lead wasn’t enough.
