The Kenya Morans suffered their second consecutive defeat in the All Africa Games 7s, narrowly losing 27-22 in sudden death against Zimbabwe in their second match.
Both the Morans and the Cheetahs had faced losses in their opening games and were determined to bounce back.
Zimbabwe got off to a strong start, securing two quick tries to take a 10-0 lead. However, the Morans fought back, with Cornelius Mokoro scoring a try converted successfully, bringing the score to 10-7.
The Morans then took the lead just before halftime, with Chrissant Ojwang scoring a try on the left side, making it 12-10 in their favor.
Zimbabwe started the second half strongly once again, scoring two consecutive tries to extend their lead to 22-12, converting one of them.

Late in the game, Mokoro scored his second try, narrowing the score to 22-17.
Co-captain George Ooro’s powerful run and try leveled the scores at 22-22, forcing the match into extra time.
In extra time, Zimbabwe scored first, ultimately winning the match 27-22.
Kenya play against Benin on Wednesday while on Thursday they will tackle Tunisia, Ghana and will conclude against Uganda.
The tournament has attracted rugby Men & women teams across Africa participate for the first time in the history of the games.
The Men’s teams include Kenya, Uganda, Ghana, Zimbabwe, Tunusia, Burkina-Faso and Benin while the Women’s teams will include Uganda, Tunisia, Madagascar, Ghana and Nigeria.
The rugby games are taking place between March 19-21 2024 at the newly constructed rugby stadium at the university of Ghana, Legon, Accra.
