Western Bulls who have experienced several setbacks this season have booked a place in the playoff after a 19-08 victory over 14-man Daystar Falcons in their last 2023/2024 Championship match at the Kakamega Showground.
The come-from-behind victory means that the Echulusi will finish the season at position five with 22 points. For Daystar Falcons, they will wait for the result between South Coast Pirates to confirm if they will book a direct home semi-final or will head to the playoff next weekend.
Trevor Opondo drew the first blood after crossing the hosts’ whitewash for a try changing the score 5-0 after a widely kicked conversion to put the guests in the front.
The hosts Western Bulls determined to protect their home pride, responded with their first try of the game as veteran halfback Allan Kasiti made it through the Falcons’ defence to level the scores 05-05 after a wide conversion.

Daystar Falcons were reduced to 14 after a red card was awarded to Clinton Amukwachi for a dangerous play and the hosts were awarded a penalty try to boost their scores 19-08 a scoreline which they held on till the final whistle.
