Kakamega School won the Kakamega Central sub-county games played on round robin format, securing impressive results throughout the tournament as the school games commenced over the weekend.
Starting their campaign strongly, the 2019 East African Champions defeated Shikoti with a commanding 54-0 victory in their opening match.

They continued their dominant performance by securing a 53-0 win against Ebambwa in their second match.

The Barbarians showcased their strength by defeating Ikonyero 48-5, who became the first team to score against Amos Wamanga’s charges in the tournament.
In the final match, they secured a convincing 42-0 win over Shieywe, advancing to the county level.

The eight-time National 15s Champion have faced challenges post-COVID. In 2023, they relinquished their Kakamega County title to Koyonzo High School, who clinched their maiden 15s County title with a 33-9 victory at St. Peter Mumias Grounds in March 2023.

During the regionals they failed to progress past the group stage after a 15-3 loss to Vihiga High School, missing out on the semi-finals.

Nonetheless, they are eager to revitalize their performance and reclaim their former glory.
