KCB Rugby maintained their perfect record in the Kenya Cup 2023/2024 season by handing Kisumu a 64-10 defeat in a match played at the Kisumu Polytechnic grounds.
Bob Muhati came in with the first try of the game for KCB RFC minutes into the game with Lionel Ajeliti making a successful conversion for a 07-00 lead.
Lionel Ajeliti made no mistakes in converting Festus Shiasi’s try which was KCB RFC’s second try before Kisumu RFC managed to pull one back making matters 14-07.
KCB RFC proved to be strong as they extended their lead to 21-07 after Ajeliti Lionel successfully converted Felix Ojoo’s try.

Kisumu were porous defencewise as they allowed two successive tries from Austin Sikutwa where he converted his first try but missed on the next bringing the scores to 33-07.
Kisumu took their points to 10 as they scored a penalty kick before Bob Muhati scored his second try with Lionel Ajeliti adding the extras for a 40-10 lead.
William Opaka and James Ocheing came in from the bench scoring a try each which Lionel Ajeliti successfully converted Opaka’s try but missed on Ochieng’s try making the scores far from reach for Kisumu at 52 -10.
KCB scored a penalty kick before Vincent Onyala added a try in the dying minutes of the game making the score 64-10 at fulltime in favour of KCB marking their eighth straight win in the 2023/2024 season, moving to 39 points.
