MMUST hand Daystar 1st defeat, Mombasa, Impala win

MMUST put up a stellar performance at home to collect maximum points after defeating log leaders Daystar Rfc 34-12 in a match held in Kakamega.

MMUST dominated better part of the game where Captain Veron Kaburu bagged a hatrick of tries as MMUST put 5 tries past Daystar Falcons.

Brian Ndeda was also on the scoresheet as he scored a try same to Ryan Makaka who contributed the other try to make sure they seal the win.

Fly-half Washington Ombima contributed a total of four conversions a total of six points  to his team’s favour.

Daystar Falcons felt the absence of their lead try scorer Patrick Odongo who is on national team duty as they  managed only two tries with one being uncoverted the tries  were scored by Captain Augustine Owino and Antony Okoyo who came from the bench but that was not enough to escape defeat  away.

In Mombasa, Mombasa RFC beat visiting Kabarak University 21-16 while Impala RFc stayed unbeaten with a 7-6 win over Jkuat
