Opondo starts, Mukidza returns for KCB Rugby ahead of Mwamba matchup

Former Kenya Cup champions KCB Rugby have named their squad that will be out to battle with Mwamba RFC at the RFUEA grounds in Nairobi.

The Curtis Olago-coached side will be out seeking to continue with their fine run and try to win the Kenya Cup this season.

The front row will be led by Captain Griffin Musila in the number two position with Oscar starting for the first time this season alongside Kenya Simbas prop Wilhite Mususi.

The second row has Kenya under 20 lock Andy Cole Omollo and Emmanuel Silungi.

EDITOR’S PICKS:

Elvis Olukusi after failing to make it to the Shujaa squad comes in at the blind side flank with Peter Waitere being the open-side flanker. The number eight jersey will be donned by Davis Chenge.

Emmanuel Opondo comes in at scrumhalf for his start with Brian Wahinya being the fly half.

The wings have Michael Kimwele on the left and Austin Sikutwa on the right.

The midfield has the partnership of Bob Muhati on the inside and elphas Adunga on the outside.


Veteran  Darwin Mukidza will be a fullback after return from injury for his first start of the season.

KCB Rugby beat Mwamba 82-10 last season and will be eyeing another big win to climb above Kabras RFC.
