Monaco has been selected to host the Paris 2024 Olympics repechage on the 21st – 23rd of June 2024 at the Stade Louis II after it hosted the final qualification event before the Rio 2016 and Tokyo 2020 Olympics games.
The three-day competition will feature 12 men’s and 12 women’s teams with only two teams set to qualify as of now only 22 of the 24 teams have confirmed their qualification.
The women’s tournament looks wide open and will feature the Kenya Lionesses battling hard after they lost to their long-time rivals South Africa in the Africa Rugby Women’s Cup. Other teams set for the Repechage are will face Argentina, China, and Czechia who are making a debut.

Hong Kong China, Jamaica, Mexico, Papua New Guinea, Paraguay, Poland, Samoa and Uganda to fill the single spot and qualify.
The men’s competition will be decided between Brazil, Canada, Chile, China, Great Britain, Hong Kong China, Mexico, Papua New Guinea, South Africa, Spain, Tonga and Uganda.
South Africa’s Blitzboks who lost their direct qualification to Kenya will be strong contenders after winning the first round of HSBC SVNS 2024 in Dubai in December, while Canada, Great Britain and Spain are also core teams on the top-level rugby sevens circuit.
