Kenya Harlequin name 5 debutantes for Monks match

Kenya Harlequins head coach Paul Murunga has included five debutants in the team that is to face varsity side Catholic Monks at RFUEA Grounds.

The front row sees a start for former Mean Machine hooker Mugo Adam who is getting his Kenya Cup debut with the Ngong road team at the hooker.

The props are Mike Mugo and Mohammed Khaider in the loose head and tight head positions. The second row sees the pairing of Mike Onsando and Charlton Mokua.

Kenya under 20 flanker Laban Kipsang comes in at the blind side flank. Kenya 7s forward Herman Humwa who was recently named the club captain comes in at the open side flank. Sheldon Kahi the vice captain is the number 8.

Kenya under 20 scrum-half Patrick Wainaina starts at the scrum half. He will be combining with Lucky Dewald at the fly-half. The midfield will see the combination of vice-captain Wangila Richel on the inside with debutant Jan Remke on the outside.

The back three has Zeden Marrow who joined from Homeboyz on the left wing and Charles Kinyanjui on the right. Amon Wamalwa will be the fullback. Both Wamalwa and Marrow will be making the first 15s appearance for Quins in Kenya Cup.
