The organizers of the Lake Victoria 15s have officially announced the date and venue for the 2023 final, featuring defending champions Kabras RFC and MMUST RFC.
The final is set to take place on Saturday, November 11th, at Mamboleo Stadium in Kisumu, with a kick-off time of 10:00 a.m. This much-anticipated matchup will be a rematch of the 2022 final.
Kabras RFC win 2022 Lake Victoria 15s
In the previous edition, Kabras narrowly triumphed over MMUST, securing a 17-13 victory at the Kakamega Showground and claiming the inaugural championship.
To reach this year’s final, Kabras displayed their dominance by defeating Sigalagala with a score of 43-12, earning their place in the 2023 Victoria Cup finals.

On the other hand, MMUST secured their place in the final by overcoming Kisumu with a close 19-16 win. This marks their second consecutive appearance in the final, and they are determined to cause an upset and capture their first Victoria 15s title.
Furthermore, this exciting final match will serve as the opening act for the Elgon Cup, where the Kenya Lionesses will face off against the Uganda Lady Cranes.
The Kenya Simbas will take on the Uganda Cranes in the return leg of the Elgon Cup, following their narrow 21-20 defeat in the previous encounter, which also determined the outcome of the Victoria Cup.
