MMUST RFC Head Coach John Asila has named his squad for the Lake Victoria 15s at MMUST Grounds at 1:00 p.m.
The ‘Makaka’ as they are popularly called, will be going head-to-head with Kibabii University RFC, in an effort to secure a spot in the semifinals.

Skipper Collins Ngoko leads the pack, joined by Javan Olando and Caleb Owino in the front row.
Ryan Makaka makes his debut in the second row with Nelson Makokha.

In the loose forwards, Prinsloo 7s’ top point scorer – Paywick Munoko is joined by another debutant Ramadhan Abdalla and Mwata Mwakwari, who is making his first appearance in two years after undergoing reconstructive knee surgery.
Co-skipper Veron Kaburu links with Washington Ombima at halfback.
Kelvin Bukhala makes his first appearance for the club to join Ian Oduor at centre. Heavy hitter, Bevon Okoth and speedster Sam Maboni secure the wings, while Josephat Omulefu secures the fullback slot.
MMUST bench
Lenny Shume, Daniel Mukambi and Dennis Karakacha will be making their first appearance for the Makaka off the bench.
Coach John Asila believes that the boys are ready and well-prepared for these preseason friendlies.
“We are not under any pressure, and I believe that the boys are ready, not only for this tournament but also for the KRU Championship season. Every mkaka has been working hard in the preseason training, I believe in every one of them.” Asila said.
