The first try of the match came after Stella Wafula’s hard work, providing an offload to Okello, but the conversion attempt went wide.
Okello, who is currently playing for the Japanese side MIE Women’s Rugby Pearls, showcased her speed and skill as she beat several defenders to score her second try. Unfortunately, the conversion was unsuccessful.
The former Mwamba speedster continued her outstanding performance by seizing an opportunity from a ruck and darting through a gap to score her third try of the match. This time, the conversion was on target, giving the Lionesses a 17-0 lead at halftime.
