Onyango who made himself the light of Rongo RFC thanks to his outrageous sidesteps has pointed out South African winger Cheslin Kolbe and Kenyan Winger Patrick Odongo as his motivators.
“Every time I watch South Africa playing and Cheslin gets possession of the ball, all he does with his legs is outrageous and as such I believe I will turn out better than he is one day,” he noted.
“Odongo’s spirit and commitment and my time training with the Northern Suburbs team, has been a great push to keep me going and it’s not that I know Odongo closely but he is my favourite home player,” he added.
Onyango was awarded the most valuable player award and a free flight return ticket to the destination of choice by the Renegade Air who were among the official sponsors of the Tournament.
