Kenya Cup side Nondies have won the Kitaka 10s after a 5-0 win over Uganda 7s Champions Black Pirates in a final played at the Legends in Uganda.
Nondies who went unbeaten in the entire tournament only needed an unconverted try to be crowned Champions in the competition put up in honour of Edward Kitaka.
Nondies in semis
To reach the final, the Rangers saw off Rhinos thanks to a comfortable 22-0 win in the semis while the Pirates knocked out the hosts KOBS via a solitary try.
In the quarters, Nondies were 10-0 winners against Rams, Pirates were 27-5 winners against Mongers, Rhinos defeated Heathens 10-5, while KOBS beat Sailors 31-19.

On day one, Nondies played their first day one match against the Sailors Rugby where they easily secured a 43-5 win, they later played the Jinja Hippos in the second round and secured a 28-0 win. They ended day one with a 100% win record when they secured a 38-0 win against the Buffaloes.
This victory comes when the club is celebrating 100 years of existence. In the National 7s Circuit, they ended there long way for a Cup title by beating Strathmore to win Tisap 7s.
In 2023 Nondies also won the KRU Championship to return to Kenya Cup.
