Michael Wanjala unveils Nairobi Lighting squad for Futures Cup

Nairobi Lighting squad has been named ahead of the Futures Cup scheduled for July 14 to 16 at St Christopher’s International School in Nairobi.

Leading the squad is head coach Michael Wanjala, a scrum-half from KCB, who has carefully selected the team. Assisting him is KCB team Manager Philip Wamae.

The squad comprises talented individuals from different sides including Laiser Hill Academy, Upper hill and Shamas Kibera have contributed players to the team.

Other schools that have made a significant contribution to the squad include St. Christopher’s, St. Austin’s, and Oshwal Academy.

The tournament itself will see the participation of eight under-15 regional teams, including Central, Coastal, Rift Valley, two Nairobi sides, two Western sides, and a team from Kampala.

The broad representation aims to expand the player pool and provide talented individuals with the opportunity to represent their communities and regions on a broader stage.
