Menengai Oilers Head Coach, Gibson Weru, has unveiled his 13-man squad for the upcoming Driftwood 7s tournament set to take place over the weekend.
The final squad sees some changes, with Davis Nyaundi, Herbert Ochieng, and Eugene Lubanga not making the cut. On the other hand, Amos Onyinkwa, Sam Onsomu, and Timothy Lugalia have been included for the Coastal trip.
Menengai Oilers retained players
The retained players from the previous weekend’s squad include Chrispin Shitundo, Clinton Odhiambo, Davis Otundo, Beldad Ogeta, Steve Arunga, Geoffrey Ominde and Kenya 7s duo John Okoth, and Denis Abukuse.
These players will be looking to build on their previous performances and make a strong impact in the upcoming tournament.
Having faced some challenges last weekend that resulted in their early exit from the competition, the National 7s Circuit Champions are determined to bounce back and make a stronger showing this time around.
They will be aiming to advance further than the quarterfinals and reclaim their winning form.
Menengai Oilers find themselves in Pool C for the Driftwood 7s, alongside Strathmore Leos, MMUST, and Catholic Monks.
The competition in their pool will be fierce, with each team vying for a spot in the knockout stages.
Menengai Oiler will need to bring their A-game and execute their game plan effectively to secure victories and progress in the tournament.
