On Saturday 25 February 2023, the Kenya Cup will enter its eleventh match day, with exciting fixtures scheduled to take place across the country.
The league leaders and defending champions Kabras RFC will be looking to finish at the top of the standings for the fifth year in a row when they face off against Menengai Oilers at the Kakamega Showground.
The Oilers, who hope to claim the third spot, will be keen to upset the champions and secure a crucial win in a rematch of the 2022 final.
Kenya Harlequin hope to climb
At the RFUEA Grounds, Kenya Harlequin will take on Strathmore Leos. Quins are on a roll, having won seven straight matches, and they will be looking to continue their winning streak and climb up to third place.
The Leos, who are currently in ninth place, will be looking to pull off an upset and spoil the Harlequins’ winning run.
At the Catholic University grounds, the Catholic Monks will host Nakuru RFC. The Monks will be looking to secure a win or at least some bonus points to avoid relegation, while Nakuru will be hoping to solidify their mid-table position.
Over at the Jamhuri Grounds, Homeboyz will take on Blak Blad. Homeboyz, who have struggled in their recent matches, will be desperate for a win.
At the MMUST Grounds, MMUST Rugby will play against Mwamba Rugby. MMUST, who are bottom, will be hoping to secure a win. Mwamba have failed to win the last five and will be keen to end the bad run this weekend.
Finally, at the UoN Grounds, Mean Machine will host KCB Rugby. KCB suffered a defeat to Kabras RFC in their last match and will be looking to bounce back. Mean Machine, on the other hand, will be fighting to avoid relegation, and a win against KCB would be a massive boost to their survival hopes.
