Hong Kong 7s will head to the knockout phase on Sunday with ninth-place quarters and Cup quarterfinal set to kick start the day at Hong Kong Stadium.
After losing all the group stage matches, Kenya 7s have landed a tough pairing against New Zealand in a match slated for 4:45 am EAT. New Zealand managed just one win in the group stages.
Other Quarters
In the other ninth quarterfinal, Spain will face Uruguay, as Canada play Hong Kong. Great Britain will face Japan.
In the cup quarters, Samoa will face Argentina in the first quarterfinal. Samoa topped Pool A with nine points while Argentina were second in Pool D with seven points.
Fiji will be up against South Africa in the second quarterfinal match. Fiji got the maximum points in Pool C while SA finished second with five points beating Great Britain on a point differential.
Pool D winners Ireland have a date against Series defending Champions Australia who came second in Pool A.
France have a date against USA in the fourth quarterfinal.
