Koyonzo Secondary School capped their historic maiden KSSSA rugby 7s National Schools participation on a high, after dismissing Butula High School 31-0 in the KSSSA National Rugby 7s final played in Nakuru on Sunday.
This was a repeat of the 2022 Western Region Final which Koyonzo had won 26-5.
Koyonzo were quick of the blocks, and an offload saw Brian Kiptanui side step to leave his marker well beaten to score the opening try of the match, which he converted for a 7-0 lead.
An injury to Butula’s player halted the game for some minutes before resumption was restored after medics handled the situation.
Koyonzo would pick on from where they left after the short halt of the game. Off a Butula lineout steal, Brandon Mulefu raced to score and a conversion followed for a 14-0 lead heading into the break.
