Nduru Boys lift Kisii County Rugby 7s Schools title

Nduru Boys High School Rugby Team clinched the Kisii County Rugby 7s  schools trophy after a 17-5 win over Kisii High School in the final played at Kisii School.

The side landed three tries and one conversion to book a ticket to the regionals as the county champions.  Their opening try was from Hiram Ngatia who evaded his makers and grabbed the opening try.

Purine Kaka added the conversion which saw the side lead 7-0.  Jerry Rawlings scored the second try of the day that gave the side a 12-0 lead heading to the halftime break.

Editor’s pick:

In the final half, Kisii pulled back following a try by Edwin Omari but Kaka returned to the scoresheet with the final try for Nduru.

Their pathway to the final saw Nduru knock out Riyanchabera following a 22-0 while Kisii defeated Cardinal Otunga Mosocho 17-5.
