The Kenya Rugby Union has announced the appointment of four new members to its Board of Directors.
Alice Zawadi, a World Rugby certified match official and the national treasurer of the Kenya Rugby Referee Association, joins the board. With a background in journalism and communication, Alice brings extensive experience in public relations, communications, and administration, which she aims to leverage to benefit the Kenya Rugby Union.
Nisha Van Hoek, the founder and managing director of Advance Public Relations & Marketing, has been appointed to the board. With a strong background in public relations and marketing, Nisha has played a vital role in the growth of various brands in Kenya. She has successfully managed media campaigns for renowned companies and has a proven track record of driving brand success.
Wanjiku Wairia, a former Kenya Sevens nutritionist and member of the Safari Sevens Organizing Committee, also joins the board. With over two decades of experience in corporate advisory services across different sectors, Wanjiku brings a wealth of knowledge in enterprise strategy. Her expertise ranges from regulatory authorities to financial services, aviation, manufacturing, and sports.
Kairo Thuo, a consultant and founder partner of Viva Africa Consulting, has been appointed as well. With a background in law and accounting, Kairo has extensive experience in mergers and acquisitions, organizational restructuring, and transaction advisory services. He currently serves as a director in various prominent organizations, contributing his expertise to their growth and success.
