Kisumu County Schools Rugby 15s matches played on Thursday saw impressive performances from Maseno School and Nyabondo High.
Maseno started strongly with a convincing 59-0 win over Ngere in their opening match, followed by a dominant 50-0 victory over Onjiko, securing their place in the knockout stage with a game to spare.
With 10 points already, they will be looking to seal the top spot in their group when they face Kisumu Boys on Friday.
On the other hand, Onjiko and Kisumu Day managed to secure only one win each in the group stage, and they will be hoping to reach the knockout stages on Friday.
In Pool B, Nyabondo put up an impressive performance with a 52-0 win over Chemelil before defeating Otieno Oyoo 29-0, securing their place in the knockout stage.
They will be determined to finish on top of the Pool by winning their final game on Friday.
