Kenya 7s are through to the Hamilton 7s ninth place semi-finals after a 21-5 win over Canada in the quarters played on Saturday at FMG Stadium.
Damian McGrath coached side will the winner of the match pitting Japan and Great Britain on Sunday 3:20 AM.
Shujaa, aimed to recover from a difficult group stage, where they had lost all their matches. The were able to take the lead early in the game, when Edmund Anya scored a try and Anthony Omondi converted, making it 7-0.
Canada were able to score a try through Brock Webster but were not able to convert it, leaving Kenya with a slight advantage at halftime.

In the second half, Willy Ambaka scored the second try for Kenya and Omondi converted it, increasing Kenya’s lead to 14-5.
George Ooro Angeyo then scored his first try of the series towards the end of the first half, helping Kenya secure a 21-5 win.
