Buffaloes produced a composed second-half performance to claim a 20-11 victory over Impis, overturning a narrow halftime deficit to secure an important win.
Despite Impis making a bright start and leading at the break, Buffaloes capitalised on their opportunities after the interval, with Yasin Waswa playing a pivotal role with the boot and in open play.
Lincoln Mashate opened the scoring for the hosts, Impis, after receiving a pass at pace following a darting run by the fly-half from the base of a scrum. However, they were unable to add the conversion extras, leaving the score at 5-0.
Buffaloes responded through Yasin Waswa, who slotted a penalty to reduce the deficit to 5-3. Darren Aine then restored Impis’ five-point cushion with a penalty of his own before Waswa once again kept Buffaloes within touching distance, narrowing the gap to 8-6 heading into the halftime break.

In the second half, Buffaloes grabbed the opening try after Humphrey Nahura made significant inroads into the Impis 22. Quick recycling of possession created the opportunity for Waswa to cross over for the visitors’ first try of the match. Waswa successfully converted to give Buffaloes a 13-8 lead.
Aine reduced the deficit with a penalty, but Buffaloes sealed the victory late on with a try from a series of pick-and-drive phases, stretching their advantage to 20-11 and securing an impressive away win.
