The 2025/26 Eric Shirley Shield final will be held on Saturday, 9 May 2026 at Kakamega Showground, kicking off at 1:00 p.m.
The match will serve as the Kenya Cup curtain raiser, with Menengai Oilers set to face KCB Rugby in a repeat of last year’s final.
Menengai Oilers, the defending champions, will be eyeing back-to-back titles. They booked their place in the final after seeing off Nondescripts with a 24-14 win in the semi-final played at Nakuru ASK Showground.
In the second semi-final, KCB Rugby knocked out Kabras RFC 36-17 in a clash staged at the KCB Sports Club.

The bankers, on the other hand, will be seeking to reclaim the title they relinquished last season, having fallen 15-12 to Oilers in a tightly contested final at the KCB Sports Club.
That final, fittingly cagey and intense, saw no tries scored, with the match decided purely on kicking prowess.
