MMUST RFC trio Ryan Makaka, Brian Luseke and Alvin Ogello have completed loan moves to Uganda Rugby Premiership side Hippos ahead of the 2026 season.
The three are expected to add depth and competition to the Hippos squad as the club strengthens across all departments in preparation for the new campaign.
Hippos have also moved to boost their ranks with several key signings, including Burundian international Arsene Nshimirimana and Maxwell Ebonga from Kakira Simbas.
Other new faces at the club include Izati Edwin from Victoria Sharks, Kakooza Allan Aaron (loan from Njeru), Hassan Gidugu (loan from Elgon Wolves), Ian Aliker (from Elgon Wolves), Charles Keya (from Elgon Wolves), Elvis Nguyagwe (from Njeru) and Isaac Okwangan (from Elgon Wolves).

Elsewhere, Mbale Elephants have also been active in the market, securing the services of a Kenyan quartet, Andutu Collins, Wasilwa John Kuka, Charisma Mettekini and Paul Odongo, as they look to reinforce their squad for the new campaign.
The Elephants have further added Atuhairwe Jonathan (loan from Kisubi Pacers), Maraka Brian (loan from Mukono Hawks), Ganzi Vianny (loan from Elgon Wolves) and Omugit Brian (loan from Impis), completing a busy transfer window for the club.
