Buffaloes 7s day one concluded with teams booking spots in the Cup quarterfinals after three rounds of thrilling rugby.
Black Pirates emerged as one of the standout teams, completing their third straight win after defeating Elgon Wolves 36-5 in Round 3.

The Pirates had earlier thrashed Juba Eagles 34-12 and Gulu City Falcons 34-0 to secure maximum points and finish unbeaten.
Title chasing Walukuba Barbarians also wrapped up day one without defeat, edging Kampani Eagles 24-19 in their final game after big wins over Entebbe Jaguars (38-0) and Mongers (28-22). Heathens and Hippos also registered three victories.

Hosts Buffaloes struggled on home soil, starting with a 22-0 win over Mukono Hawks but falling 12-10 to Kobs and 7-5 to Hippos to finish with just one victory. The losses have given Walukuba an advantage in the title race.
