KCB RFC wrapped up their dominant 2025 National Sevens Circuit campaign by defeating Kabras RFC 12-5 to win the Dala 7s title on Sunday, September 14, at the Jomo Kenyatta International Stadium, Mamboleo.
The victory saw the bankers close the season as both overall circuit champions and Dala 7s winners in a rainy Kisumu atmosphere.
This was the first Cup final clash between the two sides since the 2023 edition. Kabras, who had last appeared in the final in 2024, were chasing history to become the first side to defend the Dala crown since Homeboyz in 2017.
KCB were looking to add Dala silverware after becoming the first team since 2016 to reach every Cup final in a single circuit.
KCB Edge Kabras in Dala 7s Final
KCB struck first through Samuel Asati with Stephen Osumba converting for a 7-0 lead.
Kabras hit back when Eric Cantona set up Rayvone Ambale, but the conversion went wide leaving the scores at 7-5 by halftime.
Floyd Wabwire extended the bankers’ lead in the second half with an unconverted try for a 12-5 scoreline that KCB defended until the final whistle to lift the Dala 7s title.

Oilers Claim Dala 7s Bronze
Menengai Oilers finished third after overpowering Daystar Falcons 33-0. Daniel Kipchirchir, Denis Abukuse and Beldad Ogeta crossed in the first half with two conversions from Eric Ogutu for a 19-0 lead.
Ogeta added another in the second half before Alvin Khavoli sealed the convincing win.
Nakuru RFC claimed fifth place with a 17-10 victory over Mwamba RFC while Catholic Monks lifted the Challenge Trophy after a 26-7 win over Impala RFC.
In the 13th place playoff MMUST proved too strong for hosts Kisumu RFC with a 31-0 victory.
