Black Pirates name squad for Uganda Premiership final against Hippos

Black Pirates have unveiled their matchday squad for the highly anticipated Uganda Premiership final scheduled for Saturday at 3:00 p.m. at Kings Park Arena.

In the front row, Ruhweza Alema will start at loosehead prop, Alex Ssebagala takes up the hooker duties, while Ariho Muhumuza lines up at tighthead prop.

The second row features former Kabras RFC lock Eliphaz Emong, who will be facing his former club, Jinja Hippos. He is partnered by Sydney Gongodyo in the engine room.

Vice-captain Frank Kidega anchors the back row alongside Moses Zziwa, with Alex Aturinda slotting in at number eight.

In the half-back pairing, Conrad Wanyama will start at scrum-half, linking up with fly-half William Nkore. Team captain Isaac Massanganzira partners with Timothy Kisiga in the midfield.

The back three is composed of Pius Ojeabulu on the wing, Jeremiah Okello on the opposite flank, and Haruna Muhammed at fullback.

Pirates, who last lifted the title in 2023, will be eager to reclaim glory on home turf.
