Kenya 7s Head Coach Kevin Wambua has made changes to his squad for the Vancouver 7s, with Jone Kubu and Jackson Siketi being included for the trip.
Kubu, who made his debut for the Kenya Simbas in 2021, will make his World 7s Series debut after earning a spot in the squad.
Kenya 7s debut for Kubu, Siketi
The Fijian-born Kenyan international was part of the training squad in 2023 but missed out due to suspension.
Kubu has been steadily regaining form after recovering from knee surgery and has scored five tries in four appearances for Kabras this season.
Siketi, a teammate of Kubu at Kabras, has also been included in the squad two years after completing his high school education at Koyonzo.
The teenager, who has represented Kenya Morans and the Kenya U20 team, impressed during the National 7s Circuit, winning the Player of the Final award at Dala 7s.
He has scored three tries in just three Kenya Cup appearances since making his senior debut.
The rest of the squad remains unchanged, with Kevin Wekesa, Vincent Onyala, Brian Tanga, Tony Omondi, Denis Abukuse, Floyd Wabwire, William Mwanji, Nygel Amaitsa, and Patrick Odongo all retaining their places.
George Ooro and Samuel Asati will continue as captains.

Kenya 7s, currently in ninth place in the standings, will compete in Pool A at the Vancouver 7s, where they will face Argentina (seeded after winning the Perth 7s), France, and Great Britain, both of whom are ranked in the top eight.
Pool B features Australia (seeded at the top after finishing second in Perth), South Africa, New Zealand, and Ireland (bottom-seeded).
Pool C includes Spain, in excellent form, alongside current league leaders Fiji, Uruguay, and the USA.
Kenya 7s, with 14 points in the World Sevens Series, will be looking to improve their standing as they face these high-ranked teams.
