2024 Kabeberi 7s quarterfinal match-ups confirmed

The Kabeberi 7s group stage matches delivered thrilling action, setting the stage for an electrifying day two with the confirmation of the quarterfinal pairings.

After consecutive appearances in the Cup quarterfinals, Nakuru RFC has dropped to the Challenge Trophy bracket and will face Kisumu RFC in the opening match.

Kabeberi 7S hosts 

Hosts Mwamba, who failed to reach the Cup quarters for the fourth consecutive tournament, will also compete in the Challenge Trophy, squaring off against Nondies. This marks Nondies’ first time in the Challenge Trophy quarterfinals this season, having finished at the bottom of their pool.

In other Challenge Trophy action, Stallions, who have consistently managed to survive in Division One, will take on Impala with hopes of retaining their spot heading into the Driftwood 7s.

Meanwhile, Blak Blad, still seeking their first Cup quarterfinal berth this season, will face off against fellow varsity side MKU Thika.

Strathmore Leos have secured a return to the Cup quarterfinals and will meet fellow varsity side Catholic Monks, who have also featured in all the Cup quarterfinals this season.

Strathmore Leos, after upsetting Kabras RFC and topping Pool A with nine points, are back in the quarters after missing out in the Kakamega Ingo 7s and Dala 7s.

In the second quarterfinal, KCB Rugby will face Daystar Falcons. KCB topped Pool D with nine points, while Daystar have reached the quarters for the first time this season.

The third quarterfinal will feature the Rai Derby, with Pool C winners Menengai Oilers taking on Kabras RFC. Oilers topped Pool B, while Kabras RFC settled for the second spot in their pool.

In the final quarterfinal, Kenya Harlequin will clash with MMUST, completing the lineup for an action-packed day two at the Kabeberi 7s.
