Kabras RFC and Menengai Oilers have secured their spots in the Dala 7s final at Mamboleo Grounds after impressive semifinal performances.
This will be the first time these Rai Group-sponsored teams meet in the Dala 7s final. The two teams previously faced off in the 2023 Driftwood 7s final, where Kabras RFC emerged victorious. They also met last season in the Kabeberi 7s quarterfinals, with the Menengai Oilers securing a win.
Kabras, Oilers chase maiden Dala 7s
Neither Kabras RFC nor Menengai Oilers has won the Dala 7s trophy before, making this final an eagerly anticipated clash.
Kabras RFC booked their final spot with a commanding 19-0 win over Kenya Harlequin, repeating their Christie 7s performance.
Quins started the match with a yellow card due to a failed intercept attempt, giving Kabras RFC a numerical advantage
Jackson Siketa opened the scoring for Kabras with a try at the corner flag. He followed up with another try after capitalizing on a knock-on by Quins, bringing the score to 12-0.

Derrick Ashihundu added a third try, though his second attempt was ruled out due to an infringement. Kabras RFC held on to win, advancing to their second final of the season.
Menengai Oilers reached their first final of the season with a dominant 29-10 victory over MMUST. Dennis Abukuse opened the scoring for the Oilers, with Eric Ogutu adding the conversion for a 7-0 lead. MMUST responded with a try from Josephat Omulefu, but the Oilers quickly regained control.
Samuel Mwaura extended the Oilers’ lead to 14-7, and Abukuse’s second try made it 19-7 at halftime after MMUST had a player sent off. Beldad Ogeta increased the lead before Abukuse completed his hat trick, pushing the score to 29-7. MMUST managed a late try, but overcoming the Oilers’ lead wasn’t enough.
Dala 7s fifth place
In the fifth-place final, Nondies will face KCB Rugby in a rematch of their pool decider. KCB Rugby secured their place with a 29-10 win over Nakuru RFC.
Emmanuel Opondo scored twice for the bankers, with Austin Sikutwa adding another try for a 19-5 halftime lead. Nakuru RFC’s Felix Okoth scored twice in the second half, but KCB’s Sikutwa and Festus Shiasi added further tries to seal a 29-10 victory.
