Makunga and Shamberere are in the Cup finals of the Western Region BingwaFest 10s tournament after narrow wins in the Semifinals in Mumias and are in line for the Ksh 1 million prize money
Shamberere were first to qualify after managing a 07-05 win over Andeliza in the first semis of the Men’s competition organized by Betika through Betika na Community initiative.
The dominant Makunga side booked their place after a last-minute try against Lufuosi in another tight match managing a 07-00 win.

In the women’s category, Western Spears booked their finals spot after a dominant 12-00 win over Sheywe while Mumias undisputedly matched into the finals having secured a rather high 34-00 win over Lurambi Raiders.
The finals fixtures will see Makunga taking on Shamberere in the men’s category as Western Spears take on Mumias Women.
The losers of the semi finals will meet in the third place finals.
