KCB Prop Oscar Sorano reflects on the toughest 2023/24 season as he also hails his love for the sport.
He recalls the final whistle blow, signaling the end of the 2023/24 rugby season during the Enterprise Cup finals at the RFUEA ground how players collapsed on the turf recalling how their bodies spent months fighting in grueling matches, training sessions and sacrifices.
The 2023/24 season for KCB
The stalwart prop for KCB, who has always had his jersey soaked with sweat, couldn’t hold his emotions having to face the reality of losing the final match and he reflects on the roller coaster ride of the just concluded season.
According to Sorano, he and his teammates have had a season defined by resilience, determination, and unwavering commitment.
“It’s been a roller coaster of sheer hard work, sweat, and tears,” Sorano reflected.
They had poured their hearts and souls into every game, pushing themselves beyond their limits in pursuit of victory. Yet, despite their best efforts, the ultimate prize had eluded them.
“Definitely not the result we wanted, but still grateful for the opportunities and awesome memories to cherish.”
Sarano admitted the toughness of the journey and the present moments of triumph, when everything clicked into place and they emerged victorious against formidable opponents.
But there were also moments of despair, when defeat seemed inevitable and the weight of expectations threatened to crush their spirits.

Yet through it all, Sorano and his teammates had persevered; he acknowledged the strength of a pack and refused to give up, even in the face of adversity.
Sarano has admitted that the toughness of this season has had them learn to cherish every moment on the field, knowing that nothing was guaranteed and that their time together was precious.
“We have to remember these days,” Sorano mused, “Because there is no guarantee they will last forever.”
