Kabras RFC lock David Bunduki will join South African Currie Cup side Griffons Rugby, the club has announced.
Bunduki who has become a key figure for the side will be with Griffon for six months as part of the exchange program between Kabras RFC and the South African side.

During his stay with the South African side, he will be involved in high-performance training and upskilling programs.
“Our Kenya Cup champion David Bunduki will join Griffons Rugby Club in South Africa as part of an exciting exchange program with Kabras Sugar Rugby Club! He will be in SA for six months of high-performance training and an upskilling program, All the best, Bunduki,” the club announced.
He becomes the second Kabras player to join the Griffons post-Covid-19, this is after prop Hillary Mwanjilwa featured for the club in 2023 after a move in June. Kenya Simbas lock Thomas Okeyo is also part of the Griffons squad.

Since joining Kabras from MMUST, Bunduki has become a key figure and has won two Kenya Cup titles with the side.
In 2023, he made the Kenya Simbas training squad and was named among non-travelling reserves ahead of the Victoria Cup in November.
More Kabras RFC teammates
In South Africa, he will join his teammates James Olela, and Jactone Osoo who are part of Rhino’s High-Perfomance training in South Africa.
Menengai Oilers’ James Asanga and Kenya Harlequin’s Amon Wamalwa are also part of the program.
