Western Bulls up and running with Big win over UoE Trojans

Western Bulls got their first win of the year after they outsmarted UOE Trojans 32-09 in a KRU Championship tie played at the Bull Ring. 

The Bulls had suffered two defeats this season  were lying at the ninth position on the log, with -1 point.

Bulls put up a strong display of skill and strength fueled by loanees  to overpower the varsity side who managed to put 9 points on board.

The hosts were quick off the blocks early on when they went over through Efedha Emmanuel. UoE Trojans responded with a penalty goal through Sulivan Murunga for a 5-3 score.

Bulls would add another try when outside centre Dan Kibet scored hosts second try of the day. But UoE would again respond through Sulivan Murunga’s boot to cut the deficit to 10-6 as the game went for halftime break.

Early on in the second half, Samuel Wafula landed a penalty goal to extend Bulls lead to 13-6 before Saidi Osieko extended the hosts lead further after he scored the first try of second half. Meshack Okari converted Osieko’s try to take the scores to 20-6.

Sulivan Murunga scored another penalty gial for UoE Trojans to cut the deficit to 20-9. Western Bulls efforts in offence earned them a penalty try to take game far off Trojans reach.

Byrum Mukhonyi would land the final try of the day for Bulls in the dying stages of the game to give the home team a comfortable 32-9 win.
