Kenya Cup Champions Kabras RFC and the national rugby sevens team, Kenya 7s, have been nominated for the 2024 Sports Personality of the Year Awards (SOYA), set to take place on Wednesday, April 16, at the Kenyatta International Convention Centre (KICC).

Kabras RFC continued their dominance in the 2024 season, clinching the Kenya Cup title after a commanding 26-5 win over KCB Rugby at the Kakamega Showground.

The Sugarmen went on to defeat KCB Rugby again, nearly a month later, in the Enterprise Cup final—completing a historic four-peat in the tournament and another unbeaten season.

In the shorter format of the game, Kabras’ fringe players impressed by winning the Great Rift 10s and they secured a second-place finish in the National 7s Circuit for the second consecutive year.
