The Mwamba Cup semi-finals are scheduled to take place on Saturday, March 15, 2025, with four teams battling for a spot in the final.
Mombasa SC will face off against Kenya Prisons at the Mombasa Sports Club.
Shamberere National Polytechnic will host JKUAT Cougars at the Shamberere National Polytechnic grounds in second semi-final.
Both matches are expected to kick off at 4:00 PM East African Time.
The JKUAT Cougars secured their semi-final spot with a hard-fought 24-15 victory over the Zetech Oaks during a quarterfinal match held at the JKUAT grounds on Saturday, February 8, 2025.
The Cougars dominated the first half with an early 13-0 lead, thanks to two penalty kicks and a try by Zaddock Mvia, both conversions successfully added by Davies Masinga. The Cougars then extended their advantage to 16-0 before halftime with another penalty from Masinga.

In the second half, JKUAT added to their lead with another penalty and an unconverted try from Mvia, bringing the score to 24-0. The Zetech Oaks fought back, scoring three tries through Brian Maina, Michael Omunge, and Lincoln Njangi, but it wasn’t enough as the Cougars held on for the win.
In other quarterfinal results, Kenya Prisons defeated UoE Trojans 37-7. Meanwhile, Shamberere National Polytechnic advanced to the semi-finals after Makueni RFC failed to show up, resulting in a 28-0 walkover. Similarly, Mombasa SC also advanced with a 28-0 walkover after their opponents, AP Warriors, did not show up.
