Kenya Cup Champions drop behind
Defending champions Kabras RFC, despite slipping to a few dropped points, remain in second place with 48 points, ensuring another home semifinal berth since the 2018/19 season.
Kabras boast the best defensive record, having allowed only 72 points, and also hold the second-best attacking record, with a superior point differential ahead of the top of table decider with KCB next weekend.
Menengai Oilers’ hopes for a direct semifinal berth took a hit after two consecutive losses, meaning they will now have to fight through the playoffs once again.
Nondies sit in fourth place with 34 points after seven wins. They are determined to finish the season strong with a key match against Kisumu on the final day.
Kenya Harlequin are fifth with 32 points from 10 matches. They will be eager to leapfrog Nondies with a win over Strathmore Leos.
Blak Blad, with 26 points, have secured a playoff spot for the second consecutive season, 11 points clear of the next challenger, ahead of their final match against Mwamba.
