Kenya 7s forward Kevin Wekesa is set to make his first start for Kabras RFC as they take on Menengai Oilers in the Rai Derby at Nakuru ASK Grounds.
Head coach Carlos Katywa has made six changes to the squad. Wekesa, who played a key role in Kabras’ Kenya Cup triumph in April 2024, will start in the second row, replacing Shem Joseph, who drops to the bench. He will partner with Hillary Odhiambo in the lock position.

The rest of the pack remains unchanged, with Ephraim Oduor, Eugine Sifuna, and Asuman Mugerwa leading the front row.
George Nyambua and Patrick Sabatia retain their roles as flankers, while Jeason Misoga continues at number eight.
In the backline, Brian Tanga returns to the starting lineup at scrum-half, replacing youngster Roy Maruti.

Ntabeni Dukisa is back at fly-half, with Valerian Tendwa making way. Walter Okoth and Bryceson Adaka continue their midfield partnership for the second consecutive weekend.
The back three undergoes a complete overhaul, with Alfred Orege starting on the left wing, Griffin Chao on the right, and Jone Kubu, fresh from his Kenya 7s debut, slotting in at fullback.
Among the replacements are William Mwanji and teenager Jackson Siketi, who join Kubu, Tanga, and Wekesa as players returning from Kenya 7s duty in Vancouver.
Kabras RFC hold a 100 percent win record against Oilers and will be keen to extend their dominance in the fixture.
