The quarterfinal pairings for the Perth 7s have been confirmed following the conclusion of the group stage matches played on Friday and Saturday morning.

Kenya 7s, also known as Shujaa, have secured a spot in the ninth-place playoffs after missing out on the Cup quarterfinals, despite a 19-5 victory over Uruguay.

Kenya 7s in Perth

Shujaa finished bottom of their group with four points and will face the USA, who also missed out on the Cup quarterfinals. The match is scheduled for 11:43 AM this Saturday.

New Zealand 7s have also dropped to the ninth-place playoffs and will take on Ireland in the second ninth-place playoff semifinal.

In the Cup quarterfinals, Spain, who have enjoyed a strong season so far, will face Uruguay in the first quarterfinal. Argentina are set to take on Great Britain in the second quarterfinal matchup.

League leaders Fiji have been paired against South Africa in what promises to be a thrilling encounter, while Olympic Champions France will face hosts Australia in the final Cup quarterfinal.
