KCB Rugby have confirmed a key addition to their technical bench as the Kenya Cup season resumes following a one-month Christmas break
Former player Peter Kilonzo, who was part of the club’s golden generation that clinched four consecutive titles, has taken up the role of Performance Analyst/Defence Coach.

Kilonzo has not been in action this season but has been actively involved in coaching duties.
The club officially introduced him, stating: “We introduce our star-studded technical bench made up of former players at KCB Rugby. We start off with Peter ‘Kilo’ Kilonzo – Performance Analyst/Defence Coach.”
Kilonzo has had an illustrious rugby career. He was part of the Kenya Simbas and was named captain in 2019 under coach Paul Odera, leading the team to victory in the Elgon Cup.

He first joined the Simbas in 2016, debuting in a Thursday night clash against Hong Kong. A year later, he earned his first cap in a match against the same opponents, where the Simbas lost 43-33 at the RFUEA Grounds.

Kilonzo joins a formidable technical bench led by head coach Oliver Mang’eni, who succeeded long-serving coach Curtis Olago. The team also includes Darwin Mukidza as the Backs Coach, replacing Mark Mshilla.
Dennis Mwanja was retained as Forwards Coach, while Kenya 7s Strength and Conditioning Coach Andrew Amonde remain part of the setup assisted by former Maseno coach Sebastian Makalek Ochieng.
