Kenya 7s drop to 7th place playoffs after Argentina loss

Kenya 7s allowed Argentina to get back into the game to win 26-14 in the fifth place semi-final in the Cape Town 7s on Sunday.

Shujaa who beat Australia but later lost to Spain on Saturday will now face the loser of the New Zealand and Great Britain at 5:28 p.m.

Speedster Patrick Odongo Okong’o showed his racing from his own 22 after picking the ball off a ruck and raced clear for a try that was converted by Nygel Pettersan Amaitsa.

Shujaa stretched the lead once again racing from their own half and with George Ooro picking a loose ball and offloaded to find Kevin Wekesa who went all the way to score.

Argentina turned around the match witu German Schulz scoring in the fifth minute while Matías Osadczuk added the seecond in the seven minute.

Agustin Fragaa ensured they went to the break lead 19-14 after two of their tries were converted.

In the final half, Fraga and Facundo Pueyrredon scored each for a 26-14 lead. The Argentine held on for a win.
