Day two of the 2024 Safari 7s promises thrilling rugby action, with a packed schedule that sees both men’s and women’s teams battling it out for top stops in the pool at Machakos Stadium.
After an action-packed opening day, the competition heats up on Saturday, 12 October, with teams looking to secure their spots in the knockout stages.
Safari 7s openers
The day will start with three women’s fixtures. The first match kicks off at 9:00 AM, with the Kenya Lionesses taking on Shogun Rugby. The Lionesses will be looking to maintain their momentum after an impressive Day 1 performance.
At 9:22 AM, Kenya Cubs face Uganda in an East African derby. Following this, Costa Blanca Barbarians face Uganda 2 at 9:44 AM.
At 10:06 AM, Kenya Harlequin, fresh off a Day 1 win, will lock horns with Kenya Morans in an all-Kenyan clash. Both teams are determined to make a statement as the tournament progresses.
Shogun Rugby and Uganda meet at 10:28 AM. At 10:50 AM, Lions Rugby from the United Kingdom will face off against Zimbabwe.
Shujaa, the defending champions, take to the field at 11:12 AM, facing Qatar. Shujaa are expected to continue their strong form after winning their opening match.
At midday, the women’s teams return to the field with Shogun Rugby taking on Kenya Cubs at noon. At 12:22 PM, Kenya Lionesses will look to assert their dominance as they go up against Costa Blanca Barbarians, while Uganda faces Uganda 2 at 12:44 PM.

The men’s fixtures continue in the afternoon, starting with Uganda taking on Red Wailers at 1:06 PM. Next, Kenya Morans will face Shogun Rugby at 1:28 PM in a crucial match for both teams.
Kenya Shujaa will be back in action at 1:50 PM against Varsity Select. At 2:12 PM, Zimbabwe will meet Qatar in another potentially crucial clash.
