Heathens and Avengers lead Uganda 7s circuit standings after Kyabazinga

Heathens and Avengers are holding the top spot on the Uganda 7s circuit as the circuit sets for a break after the Kyabazinga 7s. 

Heathens are dominating the Men’s division as they hold top place of the standing with 95 points, and are followed by second-placed  Pirates, who are ranked with 86 points.

The Walukuba Barbarians, in third place with 71 points, were one of the standout teams of the season, they consistently punched above their weight, securing crucial victories that allowed them to hold off the Buffaloes with 69 points and the Hippos  with 68 points as they eye for a podium finish.

Kobs and Rhinos are tied at 67 points, The Kobs, a traditionally strong side, struggled for consistency, while the Rhinos are staging a late-season comeback to draw level with them on points ahead of short break.

At the lower end of the table, the Impis holding 21 points and are eyeing relegation as they are ranked last on the log. 

The Warriors (28 points) and Elgon Wolves (37 points) have high hopes in the circuit as they have managed to retain their spots.

Avengers Reign Supreme in Women’s League

In the women’s league, the Avengers are capping off a stellar season as they lead the standing with 102 points. 

Spirited Black Pearls are second with 96 points 

The Thunderbirds, another top contender, are third on the table with 92 points above fourth place Nile Rapids who are ranked with 73 points breaching a wide gap against the top three teams.

 

She Wolves with 61 points are ranked fifth above the Kitgum Queens who are ranked with 59 points at the sixth position,  

The fixture will be resuming on the 28th and 29th of September at the Kakyeka stadium.
