Sigalagala defended their Prinsloo 7s Division II title with a 12-0 victory over Administration Police in the final held at Nakuru Athletic Club.

The Kakamega-based institution entered the match aiming to retain the title they won in the 2023 edition, where they beat Makueni 17-12 to be crowned champions.

Journey to final

On their way to this year’s final, Sigalagala eliminated last weekend’s finalists with a convincing 19-0 win before edging JKUAT 12-7 in the semis.

In the final, Sigalagala struck early, scoring the opening try just two minutes into the match, though the conversion attempt missed. They maintained their slim lead into halftime.

EDITOR’S PICKS:

In the second half, a well-executed kick-and-chase allowed the students to breach the law enforcers’ defence once again, scoring under the posts to secure a 12-0 victory and defend their title.
