List of 2024 Prinsloo 7s award winners and prize money

The Prinsloo 7s, the final leg of the 2024 National 7s Circuit, provided fans with a thrilling conclusion to the season.

Several standout players and teams were recognized for their exceptional performances throughout the tournament.

Gabriel Ayimba double in Prinsloo 7s

Gabriel Ayimba of Strathmore Leos was named Player of the Final, receiving Ksh 10,000 courtesy of sponsor Sportpesa. Ayimba was also awarded the prestigious title of Most Valuable Player (MVP) of the tournament.

Dennis Abukuse from Menengai Oilers had an impressive showing, securing the Top Try Scorer award. He also won the third Impact Player award of the season, having topped the Tisini stats tracker.

He had previously earned the Impact Player title at both the Dala 7s and Kabeberi 7s.

Amon Wamalwa of Kenya Harlequin emerged as the Top Points Scorer in the men’s category, while Impala’s Sheila Chajira was named the Women’s Player of the Final.

EDITOR’S PICKS:

Ann Koki, also from Impala, secured the title of Top Points Scorer for the women’s division, while Daina Awino, another Impala standout, was recognized as the Top Try Scorer.

In Division II, Alex Tirimba from Sigalagala was named Player of the Final, while JKUAT’s Davis Masinga claimed the Top Points Scorer award. Elias Owino from Northern Suburbs was crowned the Top Try Scorer for Division II.

Strathmore Leos triumphed as the Prinsloo 7s Champions, receiving a cash prize of Ksh 100,000. Nondies, who finished as runners-up, took home Ksh 50,000, while Kabras Sugar RFC secured third place and were awarded Ksh 25,000.

In Division II, Sigalagala emerged victorious as the Champions, winning Ksh 50,000. Administration Police Warriors finished in second place.

Impala were crowned the Women’s Champions, taking home Ksh 70,000. Mwamba RFC finished as runners-up and were awarded Ksh 30,000.
